Corona is a historic and multicultural borough of Queens, New York City. The name ‘Corona’ was chosen by Thomas Waite Howard in 1870. He was the first postmaster in the area. Another theory suggests that the name came from the crown used as an emblem by the Crown Building Company, which is said to have developed the area. Whatever, the reason behind this name, but it is clearly not related to the corona pandemic.
In our previous post, we’ve shared some interesting throwback photos of Corona, Queens. And today we are sharing some more vintage photos of Corona, Queens. These photographs were captured in 1982.
