Young Stevie Nicks: Gorgeous Photos Of Female Rockstar Who Shaped Rock ‘N’ Roll

Stevie Nicks is a legendary female rocker and songwriter, best known for her work for Fleetwood Mac. Nick is the only woman to have been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She started her career as a singer with the local band, Fritz, along with Lindsey Buckingham, which established a small following. Nicks and Buckingham were deeply romantically involved, and in 1972, they released an album “Buckingham-Nicks.” However, the album flopped, and they two dropped from the label. She also worked as a maid, a dental assistant, and a waitress to make ends meet.

Nick boosted her career with ‘Rhiannon’ and ‘Landslide’ in 1975. Nicks discovered the Rhiannon character in the early 1970s through a novel called Triad by Mary Bartlet Leader. Nick also built her own unique onstage look, which consisted of a gypsy-bohemian style that featured flowing skirts, shawls, and platform boots. Nick also released solo albums, her first two albums, ‘Bella Donna’ and ‘The Wild Heart’ were awarded platinum. Nick also developed a drug addiction problem during her solo career, and she struggled hard to overcome her substance abuse and was eventually successful. She is credited to have produced more than forty Top 50 hits with a sales figure exceeding 140 million.

  1. During Stevie Nicks’ concert this summer, she closed it out with Wildflower, a song dedicated to Tom Petty. I cried. Behind her was a montage of pictures and videos of the two of them throughout the years, which I hadn’t realized how long they had known each other.

  2. Stevie Nicks was an icon in the 1970s – her voice, style, and stage presence were unmatched. She seamlessly blended rock and roll with a touch of mysticism. And let’s not forget her incredible fashion sense – those flowing skirts, shawls, and platform boots are still being copied today. The 1970s would not have been the same without Stevie Nicks.
