Mick Jagger is a rock legend. He gained worldwide fame as the lead singer and one of the founder members of the Rolling Stones. His distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence have amused the audience for over five decades. He took the ‘Rolling Stones’ to another level with major hits such as ‘I can’t Get No’ Satisfaction’, Angie’, and ‘Miss you’.
Music Career
Jagger attended the London School of Economics and he was a good student and popular among his classmates. He developed an interest in American blues and R&B music during the school and got his first guitar at the age of 14. Jagger started his music career with Richards and he appeared as a guest vocalist with Blues Incorporated. He formed ‘The Rolling Stones’ with Richards and Jones. The group’s first appearance, under the name the Rollin’ Stones in London on 12 July 1962. In 1963, Jagger left the school in favor of his promising musical career with the Rolling Stones and released the first album in 1964. In 1971, The Rolling Stones released album, ‘Sticky Finger’, which became the most popular music album in the UK. The group released several successful albums, which topped the music chart for years. The Rolling Stones also made thousands of live performances and achieved endless record sales. In September 1984 Mick Jagger recorded his first solo album, and in July 1985 he made his first solo live appearance in Philadelphia. In 2001, Jagger released his fourth solo album, ‘Goddess in the Doorway’.
Acting Career
Jagger also appeared in several movies. His most popular film appearances include “Performance (1968)” and “Ned Kelly (1970)”. He portrayed the role of an English art dealer-collector in the movie ‘The Burnt Orange Hersey (2020)’. The movie’s release was delayed due to COVD-19 and it is scheduled to be re-released on August 7, 2020.
Persona life
In 1967, Jagger was arrested with his girlfriend, singer Marianne Faithful. Two years later they both arrested again for drug possession after authorities raided Jagger’s London home. Jagger had romantic relationships with Marianne Faithfull, Marsha Hunt, Jerry Hall, Carla Bruni, Melanie Hamrick, and many others. He married Bianca Jagger in 1971 and divorced in May 1978. The couple had one child, Jade Jagger.
