Kent is a historic county in South East England. Great Britain relied on the county’s ports to provide warships through much of its history. Kent has been subjected to numerous invasions and has attracted successive waves of settlement. It was one of the first British territories to be settled by Germanic tribes. It is also known as ‘The Garden of England’ because of its relative abundance of fruit-growing and hop gardens.

I think there are only 3 places i haven’t been to, I grew up in Orpington, born 1965, so just about when the switch to the LBB started, but these pictures are brilliant.
I know living back then wasn’t easy, but photos like these bring me such a sense of peace.
