Can Tho in 1968: Fascinating Vintage Photos Show Street Scenes and Life in Vibrant Colors

Can Tho is the fourth-largest city in Vietnam situated on the left bank of the Hau Giang River. The city has managed to retain its unique culture and heritage. It is famous for its floating markets, rice paper-making village, and picturesque rural canals. The economy is mainly dependent on agriculture, the industrial sector, and tourism. Older industries include coconut oil extraction and rice milling; new industries include fertilizer, ice, implements, plastic goods, bricks, and fish sauce.
