I remember going there as a child to see Bambi….lol
All-Time Favourite Toronto theater! Saw so many great films there during the 80’s when it was three screens. The main theater was the best!
A street car on danforth really wow that’s crazy
I remember seeing The Jungle book and many other movies there when I was a kid. I lived at 769 Pape Avenue in the 60’s.
Our old house was torn down and now there are two townhouses there.
In 1900 my Mom’s parents purchased a home on Eaton Ave. When their son, my uncle, got a job as an usher at the Palace Theater in 1939 .The Movie, “Gone With the Wind ” was showing. Percy Faith, the now famous music conductor, was hired to play the piano between breaks or intermission in the movie. My uncle and Percy became very best friends. They remained friends for life.
