Mallorca, also known as Majorca, is the crown jewel of Spain’s Balearic Islands. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. The Balearic Islands have been an autonomous region of Spain since 1983. The capital of the island, Palma, is also the capital of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands.
Mallorca is famous for its stunning coastline, secluded coves, limestone mountains, Spanish architecture, wineries and fresh produce farms, and beautiful beaches. These stunning historical photos capture everyday life in Mallorca in the mid-1950s.

Why have these photographs been uploaded without credit to the photographer? Many of the 1950s photographs were taken by my father, Tom Weedon, and they are part collection of the ASIM photography archive in Palma. Shame on you for not bothering to credit him and other photographers as well!
