I and my siblings, and a few nieces and nephews, are called the Winchester House grandkids…our respective parents are the only persons to have lived and grown up in the house, other than Sarah Winchester herself. Our grandfather, John Marx, was the house Manager for over 40 years, beginning in the 1930’s, and raised 6 children, including my mom, in a part of the original house, closed off to the public! She married my dad after he graduated from Santa Clara University, and who worked as a tour guide during college. Us grandkids grew up visiting our grandparents (we were born and lived in San Jose/Campbell) playing hide and seek in 160 rooms after tour hours!! Wonderful childhoods!
I use to live 2 blocks from this house what a great place this is

I love this old house and all the history. I grew up living very close most of my life.
