  1. Yes build one again out in the boonies. Send first offenders there for petty crimes, if they don’t have full time employment somewhere, for three months, minimum, of forced schooling (if they don’t have a HS diploma) and manual labour. If they have a HS then into a shop class of some sort.
    If they walk away, then when (if) caught again sent to another more secure facility.
    In my mind it’s better that turning then loose on parol.
    Now let’s hear the comments from all the bleeding hearts out there who think this type of justice would be against their civil rights!

  2. It was known to us as the “Jail Farm”. Today, it is a mass of Condos, Houses, Malls etc. General area was Hwy 7 on the south, Bayview Ave on the east, Major Mack to the north and Yonge st on the west. I remember the tower in the middle, from where the Guards kept their eyes on prisoners. It was a minimum security facility.
