Another great area, saw all the British Carry On movie’s there and midnight shows.
I was apprenticing as a projectionist there in 1968 to 69. Then I was sent to the Odeon at Gerrard and Yonge. But the Palace was much older and the equipment was vintage
i saw a movie maybe around that time called the Crimson Exaccusioner, do you know it?
I think they are taking down all the buildings to have a mix of condo and retail
49 storey condo and subway station for the Ontario Line from downtown.
It will take away from the character of the area. All of Danforth doesn’t look the same with all these condos going up and no affordable housing either.
Was that the United Cigar Store on the corner?
Saturday place to be.
yep..or be square
