Yes spent many summers there as well as Sunnyside pool.
I had no idea it existed
Many good memories of “Minnie’s”. Two large pools with a sand beach. You entered thru narrow walkway into a large pavilion that house change rooms. There was a tower diving board on one pool that you could see from Bloor Streetcars. I seem to recall a minimum charge for entry.
People are getting Minnies confused with this Mineral Bath which had no diving board or tower. I learned to swim at Minnies, although there was a small admission to get in. At some point the owners would throw money into the pool for kids to dive in and retrieve. I heard the reason that it closed was that one of the owner’s sons died in the pool doing a miscalculated fall or dive off the top tower.
I grew up on Gothic and loved to watch the divers and the muscle beach! I only got to go once when I reached 7. Guess it closed down around 1960.
Yes it was north of the park north side of Brewer Street it had an extremely high diving platform I was just a kid and never drove off the top
