My Dad worked at Colgate-Palmolive as a welder for 25 years. I worked there the summer of 1967 for $2.60 an hour, great pay in those days for students. I cleaned offices, boxed bars of soap, and mopped washrooms. You never knew what you would be doing every week.
You never knew what you would be doing every week.” Especially after you dumped filthy mop water in the toothpaste troughs. LOL
Looks like lower Carlaw area, down there somewhere
that’s where the Palmolive plant was, southwest corner of Carlaw and Dundas. I lived across the street in an old warehouse building when the last train on the Palmolive siding hauled out a few car loads of shaving soap and other items back in the early ‘90s.
carlaw and Colgate ,1 street north of queen east
there was another Colgate in Leaside, but it wasn’t this tall (as I recall)
that was originally Bristol Meyers before it was acquired.
Is that the Lever Bros plant?
If Madge was there she’d be saying “you’re soaking in it”
