Did this building become Bassel’s?
Yes it did and later La Maison Du Croissant. The facade has been saved to be incorporated into a new condo building.
I only remember Olympia Edward just south of there, at Edward Street where the World’s Biggest Bookstore is now. It had 10 and 5 pins on two floors plus an annex.
I bowled there on Wednesday after work for a few years.
I looked at this picture and thought Parliament and Queen St. The south west corner looking to north side of Queen.

One of IBM’s first locations in Toronto in the 1920’s on the first floor.
Remember this well. Had maybe 40 lanes.
