The listed date of the photo appears to be off by a few years. The depot in the photo was built in 1899 when the line through downtown Anaheim was constructed. The earlier SP Anaheim depot, also called the West Anaheim most of the time after the station name was changed, was a single-story building.
Cliff is a very knowledgeable Orange County railroad historian.
