The Don Valley has been flooded out multiple times over the years. I used to drive to work down Pottery rd to the Bayview Extension and south and often couldn’t get through due to flooding. The worst was probably due to Hurricane Hazel in the 50s. A few years ago, I remember the GO train being stopped in its tracks down there and the water was up to the 2nd level.

Grew up on the Highland Creek. Remember it flooded on numerous occasions.A subdivision of cottages got wiped out during Hurricane Hazel.
