Does anyone remember the name of the fish and chips shop on the north side of Danforth, just west of Arundel past the gas station which was on the corner of Arundel and Danforth? It is driving me crazy trying to remember.
I don’t remember this, but I remember going to the Grover Exchange for nachos!
Why does it feel like there were so many fish n chips shops back in the day and today they seem so hard to find. Feels like you have to hop on plane to Britain to get it.
Gee I always assumed the driver restaurant was named after a phone exchange I was obviously wrong, my thoughts were that the restuarant was owned by the same people who ran the Grover exchange?
I lived around Brock Street and Bloor St West (Dufferin/Lansdowne area) and went to Margaretta Fish & Chips… well done, excellent fries and wrapped in newspaper,, always a treat even if just getting a 10 cent box of fries!
