There was a fish and chip store between Coxwell and Monarch park on the Danforth. My best memory is they put French fries in white paper cones and handed out on Halloween..the best memory for Halloween.
In the 50’s and 60’s we used to get take out from Bentley’s Fish and Chips but at that time it was on Yonge Street just south of the City Limits.
Bentley’s and Duckworths, two of the best on the Danforth!
what was the name of the shop on Greenwood at Queen? Morris’s Fish and Chips? I remember bringing an order home all wrapped up in newspaper to The Base, carrying the pack against my cheek as it was so warm and smelled like heaven.
Nova Fish on Queen in the Beach. Very tiny and smoky. Probably long gone now.
was that on the south side of Queen. I remember a wooden screen door that made a loud noise when it closed.
Bentley’s had the best fish and chips, they also had a restaurant on either Avenue Road or Yonge Street.
