In 1954 I was declared too short for their pool in 1990 they came too me at City Hall for loan to improve their pool.
Use to go swimming there as a kid living on Lakeview ave.Does anybody remember the guy and his son that ran a woodworking shop for boys out of their basement just east of the Y on the south side of College.The entrance to the basement was right off the sidewalk.They had a complete woodworking shop down there.You can almost see it in this picture it was that close.They helped kids build some pretty cool stuff.
