My great grandmother would take me there in early 70s for mass I think. After we would go have lunch at Woolworth’s lunch counter downtown
This was close to the time of the Brooke Hart murder and the lynching in Saint James Park. I wonder if anyone from Saint Joseph’s alive back then, can recall how the Church leaders responded to the horrific events in San Jose at that time?
