I heard that Henry Pallet had his own army regiment. He was the owner of Castle Loma. Maybe they were part of the army
I think he went broke building it
he owned quite a lot of land aside from Casa Loma. A few acres of land just off of Bathurst street, north of Tichester on the west side there are stone gates by the Shell station. Those were the entrance to a subdivision he was going to create , modestly priced housing, but he went broke. Taxes!
Henry Pellatt was in the Queen’s Own Rifles, and rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the regiment’s Commanding Officer. Later he served as their Honorary Colonel.
The first Tory convention?
No, just a bunch of people pretending that they are Trudeau.
one of those times you’re glad you didn’t drop acid
Isn’t that castle Loma I went to many dances there in late 50’s early 60 to a real band no alcohol so late teens if you wanted to impress a girl very romantic!
Interesting that there aren’t saddles on these horses. There are a couple that have some kind of contraption with a grip presumably to hang on to while riding or to aid in mounting, but no saddles and of course no stirrups a.k.a. bareback.
And what’s with the black eye on those people? Makeup, circus in town?
