When they cleaned the Tower out for the LCBO there was tons of Bird Guano in there…took days to clean out…

WW1 and completion of Union Station impacted the success of this station originally meant to be the central hub when built.
The name “Union Station” refers to the uniting of CN and CP there.
the street cars went to this point and then a tram ran way up Yonge street to Newmarket and beyond.

The Ports of Call Restaurants use to be just to the east of the station. Spent many Fridays and Saturdays at the disco. 70’s. Demolished and condos there now.
we Chrysler Leasing guys would go there often. Great place.
