The view here is looking south down the line to the area west of where Old Weston Rd. & Westport Ave. intersect. The station eventually served CNR and VIA but became vacant and was demolished in the 1990s.

I believe it was demolished suddenly, and overnight. It’s where we used to pick up my grandmother, arriving from the Prairies.
Did your grandmother come by way of Chicago?
There was a CPR West Toronto station a half mile south of this one, but the CNR station for trains from Winnipeg was on a different line near ST. Clair and Caledonia.
I’m not sure, just that it was called west Toronto station. I’m guessing close to the Junction.
That would have been the CPR’s West Toronto station near Dundas and Dupont.
The station in the picture was the CNR at Old Weston Rd. north of Junction Rd.
I think the station was on the west side of Old Weston and Westport, which would make this view looking north.
As children we would go there to get to the CNE
