Anyone who was under the ministry of Rev. Gladstone? He used to do Moments of Meditation on CFRB.
According to the story told by my father, his father Robert W. Habbeshaw was heard singing in Leeds England by John Craig Eaton who brought him to Canada as a singing teacher. My info is sketchy but I do know that my grandfather worked for Eatons until he retired, in the cloth department, and it must have been in the 1930s/40s that he was choir master at Timothy Eaton Memorial

The arrogance of putting a person’s name on a church is stunning. The fact that he was a virulent racist makes this “tribute” all the more offensive.
