  1. According to the story told by my father, his father Robert W. Habbeshaw was heard singing in Leeds England by John Craig Eaton who brought him to Canada as a singing teacher. My info is sketchy but I do know that my grandfather worked for Eatons until he retired, in the cloth department, and it must have been in the 1930s/40s that he was choir master at Timothy Eaton Memorial
