Israeli restaurant.. and then people wonder that Israel didn’t exist. We were always there.
There was no Israel in 1918.
Israel didn’t exist until 1948.
And then they invaded a nation occupied their land. Killed all their women and children. Sent them to stone age. Nothing learned from holocaust. Now repeating the same what hitler did to them.
Israel is a holy land belong to jews as stated in our religious texts. It is the land promised to us. In response to your argument, they fire rockets at us, and we defend ourselves.
I am a Jew and I don’t support Israel. Jews and Zionists are two different things. Don’t confuse terrorism with religion. I support Palestine.
Sometimes I wonder how educated people can make such dumb arguments, and then I think, ‘Oh, they’re Zionists.’ Imagine if Hitler showed you a holy book that said to kill the Jews. Would you accept that? Or if someone else showed you a book claiming your home belonged to them, would you accept that? You occupy their land, destroy their homes, and yet expect them to shower you with rose petals?
We gave them several chances for peace and negotiation, and they rejected them every time.
If I occupy your house and offer you a so-called peace solution to take 40% of your house while keeping 60% for myself, would you accept that?
Why do I sense anti-Semitic sentiments and hatred against Jews in your comments? There are almost 60+ Muslim countries; why don’t they give them land?
They already have their land; you are occupying it. They should help them. If a Muslim country invades a Christian country, I won’t make such a dumb argument.
Oh, poor kid, you’re embarrassing yourself. I guess this is what they teach you in school—use the anti-Semitic card to win arguments?
I don’t see a service station. Where are the pumps?
his was before modernization, at a time when you had to dig the oil out of the ground yourself (with your bare hands), obviously. 😆
It’s hand pumped, people that stupid to think people dig it out with they’re hands. Wow
We knew he was joking. 😬
if it was a joked he/she would have put in an lol
Sometimes, it’s obvious. Hence, no reason to add lol. 🤷♀️
Does anything know anything (and I do mean *know* – no blind guessing) about this restaurant? EspeciaIly if you read Yiddish (I speak a bit, but do not read it), I’d like to read what you have to say. If it is Agnes Street, I think that would now be 78 Dundas St W., the northish end of The Ward, I guess.
the restaurant on the left is at 76 Agnes Street in the Ward, ca 1910. The structure on the left, I presume, is the chicken warehouse, not a gas station.
Car wash cost 1 penny … the lady in the building next door would throw out the contents from her bedpan and give your Model T a nice shine
