I guess that church isn’t still there?
no, torn down for condos. It was still there when I worked at 49 Bathurst St. in the 90s. It was across the road from the park behind the building I worked in. It was a graveyard with graves for soldiers and their families from Fort York. They are still there under the grass.

My mother went to that church a few times during WW2 with her Wives of soldiers overseas group. They knitted socks for the soldiers and played bingo. She lived at Danforth and Pape and it was a bit far get there by streetcar back then.
If Moss Park was named after this gentlemen, it would be nice to have a plaque with some information at the park.
That boy would’ve been my Dad’s age.
