The person who designed the Bloor viaduct is one of the few in Toronto with brains when it came to transit. He designed the structure with openings in the pylons knowing that a future subway crossing the valley was a probability. He was right. His foresight saved millions of dollars when the Bloor/Danforth subway was finally built.
