June Wilkinson was born in Eastbourne, England, and she wasted no time making her presence known. By the age of 12, she was already performing on stage. Three years later, at just fifteen, she became the youngest dancer ever hired at the famous Windmill Theatre in London. The Windmill was known for its non-stop variety shows and its daring performances, so landing a spot there at that age was no small achievement.
Her early stage work in England set the foundation for a career that would cross the Atlantic and take on a whole new dimension. By the mid-1950s, June was already turning heads in photo sessions across Britain.
In 1958, June appeared in Playboy magazine, a moment that launched her into a new tier of celebrity. That same year, she made her television debut on the popular American series ’77 Sunset Strip.’ The combination of her Playboy feature and her TV appearance made her one of the most recognizable faces in American popular culture almost overnight. She quickly became the go-to name in cheesecake modeling — a style of glamour photography that was enormously popular in the late 1950s.
One of her most notable early commercial assignments came through Muffler publicity campaigns in 1959. Photographer Russ Meyer, who was already building his own reputation in the industry, also shot her that same year. These sessions produced some of the most widely circulated images of her career.
Between 1958 and 1970, June was featured in over fifty magazines and newspapers, making her one of the most-photographed models of her era. Her appeal was consistent — she brought a mix of playfulness and glamour to every shoot, whether she was on a studio set or in a natural outdoor setting.
By 1960, her film career was picking up pace. She appeared as Joan in the movie ‘Career Girl’ and continued to take on roles throughout the decade. While many of her film projects were low-budget productions, they kept her in front of audiences and cemented her status as a pop culture fixture. Her screen presence was natural, and studios found her easy to promote.
Pool and beach settings were a staple of glamour photography in this period, and June was a frequent subject in both. Her ease in front of the camera translated especially well outdoors.
Her travels took her to some striking locations during shoot assignments. In 1962, she was photographed at the Harbour Yacht Marina in Nassau, Bahamas — a setting that matched her glamorous image perfectly.
Throughout the 1960s, June appeared in a string of sex comedy films, including ‘Three in a Bedroom’ and ‘The Ninety-Day Mistress.’ These lighthearted, adult-oriented comedies were a popular genre at the time, and June was well-suited to them. She also made a guest appearance in the TV series ‘Batman’ in 1968, alongside Inga Neilson.
Through the 1960s, June’s photo shoots ranged from candid domestic moments at home to glamorous outdoor sessions on beaches and city streets. She was just as comfortable in front of a camera at home as she was on a film set or a sandy shoreline.
In 1972, June married NFL quarterback Dan Pastorini. The couple had a daughter together before divorcing ten years later in 1982. After the marriage ended, June shifted her focus in new directions. She opened fitness centers in Canada and moved into television hosting, fronting the Encore cable show ‘The Directors,’ in which she interviewed filmmakers. She later settled in Sherman Oaks, California.

She has always been modest and chaste in her private life. She avoided the drug and alcohol culture that surrounded her in the business, which may have contributed to her agelessness. Additionally, she is kind and considerate, especially to those facing misfortune. When Henry Kissinger was Secretary of State, she was also friends with him.

First of all, I believe you were born with the fetish. I’ve always liked female feet. Perhaps it’s because there are “gnarly” feet out there and I overly appreciate the good ones? The size 6 feet with nail polish and stubby toes don’t appeal to me either. In fact, quite the opposite is true.
