Powerful Photos of Poor Housing Conditions and The Lives of Working-class Bradford Communities From 1960s-70s

Photographer Nick Hedges documented the housing and living conditions of working-class and slum areas across Britain in the late-1960s and 1970s. He was commissioned by Housing Charity Shelter to report the poverty-stricken areas of the country. These photos depict slum-like conditions in tenements and lack of basic facilities.

In our previous posts, we featured photos of working-class and slum areas of cities including Manchester, New Castle upon Tyne, Birmingham, Glasgow. Here below are some photos that depict the living conditions of working-class Bradford communities.
