Spectacular Vintage Photos Show Life in 1950s Mexico in Vibrant Colors

In the 1950s Mexico was thriving and growing rapidly, the annual growth rate was over 6 percent per year. More and more people were moving from rural areas to the cities. In the late 1950s, Adolfo Lopez Mateos was elected as the president.

These vibrant color photos offer a glimpse into the everyday life of Mexico from the 1950s. They were dusty, darkened, bent, underexposed, and were destined to be trash. They were restored by Vieilles Annonces.
